Senior Vice President of Pediatrics
Dr. Timothy Johnson, DO, MMM leads Valence Health’s overall pediatric efforts and is spearheading the company’s expansion of services to support children with medical complexities (CMC) initiatives across the country.
Prior to joining Valence Health, Dr. Johnson served as the Medical Director for Children's Mercy Pediatric Care Network (CMPCN).
Dr. Johnson has also worked alongside the National Initiative for Children’s Healthcare Quality, the Children’s Hospital Association, and eight other children’s hospitals to develop a new program called CARE for Children with Medical Complexity, which received an innovation grant from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Prior to joining CMPCN, Dr. Johnson was the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer and a practicing Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician with Children's Mercy Hospitals & Clinics (CMH). Dr. Johnson is active in informatics nationally on the Executive Committee of the AAP Council on Clinical Information Technology. He received his medical degree from University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine and is board certified in general pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine and clinical informatics. Dr. Johnson has a Master's Degree in Medical Management from the Heinz school at Carnegie Mellon University. He continues to practice Pediatric Emergency Medicine at CMH and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri Kansas City.
